About Us – iForumRx.org

iForumRx.org is an interactive community designed to inform ambulatory care pharmacy specialists, pharmacy residents, and student pharmacists about high-quality, practice-changing evidence. Our goal is to empower practitioners to apply the best evidence to patient care in ambulatory care settings. iForumRx "publishes" short commentaries, video presentations, case studies, and polls to convey information about recently published literature, landmark studies, and news of interest to ambulatory care practitioners. iForumRx allows participants to interact online by submitting comments, participating in discussion boards, voting on poll questions, and sharing literature reviews through social media.

iForumRx.org is a collaboration between ambulatory care pharmacy practitioners around the globe who volunteer their time and talent. The University of Maryland School of Pharmacy is the host of iForumRx and provides ongoing support. It is designed to be a professional development tool for faculty, residents, and clinical pharmacists who practice in ambulatory care settings. iForumRx adheres to the principles of evidence-based medicine and best practices in instructional design.

Our Mission

We are committed to (1) exerting a positive influence on patient drug therapy outcomes, (2) disseminating evidence-based drug therapy knowledge, and (3) producing an interactive web-based resource for ambulatory care pharmacy practitioners of the highest quality.

How can you help?

iForumRx is a not-for-profit endeavor. We depend on volunteers to serve on the editorial board, to write commentaries, to participate in panel discussions, and to perform peer reviews. In order to maintain objectivity and the freedom to voice our opinions, we do not accept funding from commercial entities. Financial gifts to iForumRx "keep the doors open" – without financial resources we simply wouldn't exist. iForumRx requires funds to pay for its operational expenses such as webhosting, podcasts, vidcasts, equipment, software, and other items needed to produce and deliver our content to you, our readers. Grants from non-profit organizations and financial contributions from individual donors to iForumRx are always welcome!
