Sponsor a White Coat 2017

Please join us in welcoming a new generation of University of Maryland School of Pharmacy pharmacists and researchers by sponsoring an incoming student's first white coat. The white coat represents the donning of tremendous responsibility and privilege and signifies a student's journey into pharmacy education and a lifelong career in transforming patient care and pharmacy research.

For the first time, the School's Office of Development and Alumni Affairs is offering alumni and friends the opportunity to be part of this new tradition.

With a $50 donation to the School, you can cover the cost of a white coat for a first-year student, as well as make a tax-deductible gift to the School of Pharmacy. The White Coat Ceremony for the Class of 2021 will be held Sept. 8, 2017.

Your participation now will inspire future University of Maryland School of Pharmacy graduates to carry on this tradition for future generations of students. With your white coat gift, you are invited to write a brief note of welcome and encouragement that will be placed in the pocket of your sponsored coat. After you have made your gift you should receive an email with a link in order to leave a note for the student receiving a sponsored white coat. After the ceremony, students will be encouraged to convey their personal thanks through a written note and perhaps begin a dialogue with you that will last throughout pharmacy school and beyond.
